UGC

The lock screen is the cheapest UGC set you can build

You do not need a kitchen and a ring light to open an ad. You need a wallpaper, a glass notification, and a reason the phone would light up.

Most UGC still opens on a talking head. The lock-screen open is quieter and faster. It says “this just happened on a phone” before anyone has to perform. That is useful for hooks, not for every product demo.

MockItUp treats the lock screen as the product surface. iPhone only at launch. Liquid glass in the iOS 26 style. Stacked notifications instead of stickers. Make one in the Mac app.

What belongs on the set

  • A photographic wallpaper. Flowers, sky, a real photo. Not a logo.
  • The system clock and the glass card. Nothing else competing.
  • One story. A TikTok burst, an iMessage, or a payment — not all three unless the joke is chaos.

Android later. Shipping both now would mean a second glass system and a second set of icons. The audience for this format is already looking at iPhones.

Export like a phone, not like a landing page

9:16. No browser chrome. No watermark in the first second if the plan allows it. The clip should drop into CapCut or native TikTok as if it were filmed in a hand.

For the step-by-step on the file itself, use the pillar: how to make a fake iPhone notification video.
